The art of staying young in 2010 ...
Life is a journey and we are all like a drop of water that leaves the port by clinging to the wave
to cross the ocean and return to its starting point a few years later to crash into the wharf of our birth.
Everyone's life is influenced, like drops of water, according to a fate brought by luck, means and paths.
We do not decide our destiny and whose who said that we control our life are very naive.
One can grasp the chance but we did not decide of it! Luck is the ultimate freedom and she chose
her own path. We have to wait and learn to recognize her when she is close to us.
Some thinkers (they call themselves motivators ...) advocate Positive Thinking to better control
his life. Theories created by Norman Vincent Peale. I do not agree with these theories because
they forget the most important element of life that is the unexpected.
To survive and succeed in life, it is compulsory and essential to show resilience.
If we wanted represent the perfect model of a film character who is totally resilient, I would mention
Jack Bauer. Whatever the circumstances, he is concentrated on the moment and he knows
that survival is the only goal that really matters.
Life is a journey and the text of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar sums it up nicely:
"There is a tide in The Affair Of Men.
Which Taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of Their Life is Bound
in shallows and in miseries ... "
The end of the journey of life is always uncertain because we can live only one day or up to 100 years.
Destiny will determine the duration of the trip. But we must live each day with detachment, knowing
that nothing lasts, no more failure than success, and that travel is in itself a passage.
In the trip of life, we are witnessing the passage of time.
The art of staying young is the art of understanding the essence of life and accept that we are
a drop in an ocean. Enjoy the journey every day and sail for adventure and discovery awaiting
your return to port.

LeStudio1.com and his team are pleased to offer their best birthday wishes
to the creator of their website.
The little party organized for the occasion, June 28, 2010, was on theme of the number 4.
This choice was motivated by the fact that there are four mascots and the number four
is also contained in the date of birth of Bernard Bujold (28: 8 divided by 2 = 4).
There was thus four categories of gifts consisting of four gifts by category ...
A category of 4 books, a category of 4 DVD, a category of 4 wines and a
last category of 4 photos selected by Bernard himself (his favorite).
Bernard Bujold has also written special text below on the art of staying young in 2010!

DANCING ON THE LAKE (Mont-Tremblant - 1993)
I took this picture one Saturday morning while my two children visited me in Montreal.
There were living with their mother in Moncton and they were on vacation with me for
two weeks. On the day of this visit to Mont-Tremblant, we had first been received by my friends
journalist William Johnson and his wife who ran the marketing at Mont Tremblant.
We were treated to a barbecue on the grass.
We were then up to my boss house, Péladeau in Ste-Adele.
He invited us to spend the afternoon with him to enjoy the pool.
In the evening, he offered us a concert at the Arts Pavilion in front of his home.
My children had loved the burgers at Tremblant and the pool at Péladeau
but they had not enjoyed the concert of piano ... (personally I love piano and in particular
the pianist Hélène Mercier)
I recently dedicated the complete series of photos Dancing on the Lake in memory of
Natasha Richardson who died after a fall while skiing at Mont Tremblant (March 2009)

THE BEST FRIEND OF MAN (Picture by Pete Souza The White House - 2009)
This photo was taken by Pete Souza, the official photographer of Barack Obama.
I very much envy Pete Souza as he does the job that I dreamed to do with two
Prime Ministers including Brian Mulroney and Rene Levesque.
The picture resumes also the famous sentence: 'The dog is man's best friend ...'
It is obvious when looking at this picture that the two characters share a
moment of true joy and a great compagnonship, if not a friendship ...
The true happiness of life is true friendship?

DREAMS FOR THE FUTURE... (Ottawa 1984)
This photo is a self-portrait. I took it after my interview for a job
in the new government of Brian Mulroney in September 1984.
I vividly remember the moment because it is at that moment, sitting on this
bench, where I pondered whether I should quit my job to join the team of
Brian? I decided this morning, few minutes before this picture, to make the leap and
accept. I have know great pleasures in Ottawa but also great sadness and amongst them
my divorce which has resulted in the departure of my two children to Moncton.
The image of a person sitting on a bench is the symbol of the human thinking facing
decisions. Each of us must make decisions throughout our lives.
The consequences are never entirely predictable!

LIFE IS A JOURNEY (Nuns' Island - March 2010)
This photo was taken recently when I was leaving the Nuns' Island where I lived
for over 15 years.
Life is a journey and everything passes, the successes and failures.
This photo shows well the words of Shakespeare in the story of
Julius Caesar regarding the tide taken at shore as mentioned in the text
above: The art of staying young in 2010.
